#045: Kiley McGill on becoming a therapist, surf therapy, and the healing powers of the ocean
Kiley is a surfer, professional therapist, and clinical counselor working with Mindfulpath. Mindfulpath is a super innovative practice offering a variety of mental health services in ways I believe are changing the game.
Kiley utilizes a blend of therapeutic approaches, meeting clients where they are, by integrating psychodynamic, mindfulness, and experiential therapy to recognize problems relating to grief, bereavement, anxiety, and multiculturalism.
Through her own experiential therapy with surfing, she’s learned the importance of practicing peace and acceptance in many aspects of life and believes in our power to heal and transform, and the possibility of experiencing life in a new, more expansive way that is more in alignment with your best self.
We had an epic conversation around mental health, the evolving practice of therapy, surf therapy - yes you heard me right, and the many powerful effects that the ocean and nature can have on our minds and bodies.
